Enter the **Fediverse**, a decentralized network of interconnected platforms that provide an alternative to Big Tech’s grip on content distribution. But is it right for you? ## What is the Fediverse? The Fediverse is a collection of decentralized, federated platforms that communicate through open protocols like **ActivityPub**. Unlike YouTube or TikTok, where a single corporation controls everything, Fediverse platforms run on independent servers (instances), allowing greater freedom for users and creators alike.
